Have you ever heard about the Washington State Housing Finance Commission program? Many people haven’t, and even if they have, most people have lots of questions. How does buying a home work, and am I a good candidate? Could I own instead of renting even though I don’t have any savings? Fortunately, all of these questions and more will be answered during our free classes.

During these free classes, participants will learn about several programs that could help them get into the home of their dreams. For first-time homebuyers, there are the Home Advantage and House Key programs, which offer an average of $10,000 toward your down payment. The interest on these loans is extremely low, ranging from 0% to 4%. All you need to do is take the free class, which helps you get access to these programs.

We’ll also talk about Energy Spark, a program for getting an interest break when purchasing or building an energy-efficient home, as well as programs for first-time farmers with financial aid for getting started with the equipment, buildings, land, and even animals. We’ll cover programs for raw land developers who purchase and preserve land for an affordable housing development.

For most of these programs, you’ll need an income of less than $145,000 per year and a credit score higher than 620. You’ll also need to be purchasing in the state of Washington.
