Why you'd want to live in Montlake (Central Seattle)
Conveniently nestled between Washington Parks Arboretum and Eastlake lies historic Montlake. Montlake is a quiet and peaceful neighborhood and very posh community with plenty of green park space, manicured lawns and pre-1940 tudor and craftsman homes. In a way, it’s like stepping back in time with its overall old-school feel. The biggest attraction here at Montlake is its park system that includes Interlaken Park as well as Washington Parks Arboretum (which stands for, ‘tree museum’). This old-school feel stretches into the Montlake downtown area as well where you can grab a cup of steaming Joe at Fuel Coffee, or enjoy pizza at Café Lago. Don’t forget to check out the Greek Festival curated by St. Demetrios Church every September. It’s one of the most popular and famous events of the entire year in beautiful Montlake.
